Group

omidyar.net is a collection of groups created around specific subject matters as chosen by the members.

Each group has its own set of owners. Group owners decide who can become a member of the group and how.

While any omidyar.net member can see the content of any group and any omidyar.net member can add a comment to a discussion they read, only a group's members can create discussions, workspaces and files within a group.

Any member can start a new group on omidyar.net as long as they have a large enough feedback bank and can recruit enough sponsors for the new group.
